The Mafell ZH320E is considered by most timber framers to be the finest wide format planer in the world. This 12-5/8" planer is very lightweight at only 31 lbs, and extremely powerful. It has excellent sliding properties, even with moist timbers, due to special base-plate structure, and it even offers a new enhanced air duct for excellent chip removal.
As with most Mafell machines, the intelligent control electronics keep watch in the background to ensure smooth start-up and constant speed under load, and speed reduction to protect the machine without load and overload protection. After switching off, the highly efficient tool brake stops the cutter head in seconds for added safety. All this with a powerful and reliable 120v motor!
The ZH320E features guide rollers for maximum utilization of the planning width, and easy-to-change reversible knives for high productivity planning.
