Versatile Operation -- The CMP 150 chain mortiser is an essential tool for carpentry - not only for joinery work such as roof frames. The compact design and comfortable weight of this versatile machine is ideal for such applications as roof repairs or renovations, restoration of old buildings or leveling roof frames, or additionally for repairs as become applicable on site. Due to the large, stabilised lateral guide, the chain mortiser can be safely controlled even when working on installed bulkheads, or when working in overhead situations. The inbuilt spirit level provides the necessary accuracy for any required cutting angle.

Precise Guidance -- The GMP 145 Mortise Stand allows even greater precision and productivity. The solid base plate and two finely machined vertical guide rods provide safe guidance of the chain mortiser, with reliable accuracy. The cutting depth and distance from the side of the workpiece is easily and quickly adjusted by means of the variable depth gauge and lateral fence, with millimeter precision. Productivity is greatly improved, particularly when repetitive tenon holes or grooves are to be cut from bulkhead edge.
Perfect Slotting Cutter -- A perfect slotting cut is achieved by installation of the chain mortiser in the GMP 300 Stand. Precise guidance into bulkheads or trusses is made easier, when using the precision back-stop and parallel guide fence as the slotting cutter can be safely and precisely guided onto the surface of a work piece. An extensive range of chain cutting tools for slotting allow production of accurately sized 6 - 21 mm wide grooves in a single operation. Grooves or slots for hidden joints in timber, milled holes for roofing hooks, slots for attachment of base sleepers or just indentations or apertures for conduit can be cut with this machine, efficiently and precisely.

Lifting Device with Pneumatic Spring -- When installed in a guide frame, the chain mortiser may be smoothly plunged into wood, with no shuddering. A pneumatic spring mounted in the vertical guide rod prevents shuddering when plunging the cutter and eliminates splintering of morticed edges. Retracting from the work piece is effortless, easy and safe. When cutting horizontally or working overhead,. the effect of pneumatic springs is particularly effective.

Horizontal Grooves -- The precision guide system with swiveling base plate, allows cutting of exact grooves or slots in any required angle. The combination of the chain mortiser, chain cutting tool for slotting and the GMP 400 A guide frame provides cutting of slots up to the depth of 400 mm. The required distance between grooves and the base plate can be simply and precisely adjusted by means of the hand wheel and toothed rack tuning mechanism.

Guide Bar Support for Precise Cutting at an Accurate Angle -- Guide bars for extra long chain cutters attain unique cutting stability due to their additional support. Precisely at the entry point into a work piece, the guide bar is held by the supporting bracket, which assures correct perpendicular positioning of the guide bar against the guide rods of the GMP 400 A slotting frame. Any misalignment of the chain cutter is prevented whilst precise cutting at accurate angles is guaranteed.

Slotting at an Angle Against The Edge of a Work Piece -- For cutting grooves at an angle against the edge of a work piece, the base plate can be tilted against the housing of the guide rods. The required angle may be variably adjusted up to 45¡ on both sides. Just turn the locking lever, adjust the cutting angle by means of the clearly legible scale and retighten the locking lever. It could not be simpler.
