Mafell FM 1000 Milling Motor

Mafell milling motors for portal milling machines, cutting tables, grinding rigs, and flexible shafts are made in Germany with the highest quality standards and details for best-in-class performance.  Each FM 1000 is "broken in" under lab conditions before shipping in order to maximize service life.  An enclosed ball bearing absorbs thrust as effectively as possible, and the labyrinth seal protects the spindle and bearings permanently from tiny particles, dust and chips.

FM 1000 milling motors boast a maximum concentricity of less than 0.05mm at a distance of 25mm (or less than 0.01mm in the cone).  This extraordinary precision is due to the filigree coordination of all components and the fact that the armature and spindle are manufactured and balanced in one piece.

The speed can be infinitely adjusted to any application, and the digital electronics are equipped with soft start, idle speed reduction, constant speed under load, and overload protection.  Typical applications include model/mold/pattern making, advertising technology, engraving, jewelry, electronics, and masonry carvings.  Compatible materials include wood, metal, plastics, foam, polystyrene, and stone.  For easy and convenient tool changes, the spindle can be locked with the push of a button.
