Happenings at Timberwolf Tools Idaho & Chicago

Hello Timber Framers, Cabinet Makers, Contractors, and Carpenters!

I just returned from an inspiring and enjoyable 4-day Timber Framers Guild Annual Conference and Trade Show in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho .  There was a large turnout, and the event was full of interesting speakers and good conversations, with both expert timber framers and folks new to timber framing.  Timberwolf Tools had the opportunity to demonstrate four Mafell tools each day, allowing visitors to observe and use the tools before considering them for purchase. 

If you have never attended one of these events, I recommend that you plan ahead for the next Conference, to be held in eastern NY state next summer 2016.  If some time has gone by since you attended your last Conference, perhaps it is time to re-acquaint yourself with fellow timber framers, while learning from many new and "cutting edge" topics.  You will gain numerous benefits by participating, and you will also give back to the industry that supports you.  The Timber Framers Guild is an important organization which promotes our craft, spreads information, and provides an environment for camaraderie and sharing.

Positive changes at Timberwolf Tools

 We apologize for our limited email communications over the last six months...

...because there have been some changes going on...

1.  The wood working industry has been sizzling.  We hope you've been busy, since we have been busy fulfilling your orders for tools, accessories and parts.  This requires much coordinating of all oversees shipments that support your order fulfillment, and our re-stocking. To make sure you each receive your products on a timely basis, we are now scheduling Express shipments from Mafell at least every two weeks.

2.  The biggest news at Timberwolf Tools is that we have moved our shipping and receiving facility from Maine to Chicago.  The new facility has over 5,000 square feet, all on one floor, easily accommodating the coming and going of tools, especially throughout the the winter.  An added bonus has been our expanded shipping hours.  In most cases, we can now ship your order on the same day, if it is placed before 4pm ET.   For the more complicated orders, we sure appreciate when you place your orders before Noon, whenever possible.  For those living in the Midwest and West, you will now receive your orders a couple days earlier when using Ground service.

My son Jeff Powell is leading the Chicago operation, making sure your tools, accessories and parts are perfectly packaged and arriving at the expected time.  You are welcome to stop by if you are in the Windy City!  We continue to have a large selection of demo tools in Maine as well, so visit us at either location to view or test the great tools we offer.  A phone call or email in advance will continue to be appreciated, so we can give you the time and attention you deserve.

And, the end of the year is approaching....

There are only two months to go before we welcome in 2016.  When the wood-working industry is strong, we find carpenters are ready to invest in new tools and accessories, creating a year-end rush.  Better to have a highly productive and accurate tool in your hands beginning Jan 1 than lose half of those profits to taxes.  Consider placing your orders early, while our inventory is readily available, so you can have your new tools in hand sooner rather than later.  Since Mafell is also very busy at this time, we want to make sure we obtain the necessary stock to support all of you, our North American customers, before year-end.

Marlin Leasing continues to develop new programs to make leasing and financing more attractive.  They currently have a "no money down and no payments until 2016" program if your cash flow is tight at the moment.  We also continue to accept credit cards, checks, and bank wires. 

To make your buying and owning experience with our products as enjoyable and rewarding as possible, please continue to give us your suggestions.  And since we are always interested in your projects, please send us photos of your fine work.  At the TFG slide show last weekend, everyone was once again amazed by the extraordinary projects completed by members of the Guild from the USA and Canada.

As our Thanksgiving approaches, we are reminded of how grateful we are for you, our wonderful customers.  We are also thankful for the work of the TF Guild, and the blessing of having a strong construction industry supporting us all.  Hoping you enjoy the up-coming holidays with families and friends as you give thanks.
