Helps protect surfaces from chipping, and marking pointer provides exact guidance while cutting
The P1cc Jigsaw comes standard with only one splinter guard, and the different sized blades can cut a different sized groove in the splinter guard, so an extra pack of splinter guards is recommended (especially when using the CUnex W1 Blades which are double-wide)
