You asked and Mafell listened:  all the features of the celebrated P1cc Jigsaw now with ultimate portability.  Combine with the F 160 Guide Rail Bag Set and you may be able to sell your old track saw as well.

Two high-quality LEDs provide the best possible view of the workpiece.  To avoid reflection when sawing underneath the work, the lighting switches itself off.  The next time the saw is used on top of the bench, the smart lighting comes back on.  Tapping three times on the front of the saw toggles between the lighting modes.

Thanks to its ergonomic design, soft non-slip surfaces and smart weight distribution with a 72Wh Battery, the PS 2-18 is easy to control and comfortable to hold even in awkward situations.  No power cord means the jigsaw can be set down in almost any position, even resting on its battery.

New jigsaw blades are available such as the W7 which comes standard and produces a tear-free cut on both sides of the blade to reduce wasted materials.  And the new ultra-deep W9, M3, and I2 blade options (for cutting wood, metal and insulation respectively) are able to tackle materials over 7 inches deep.  But the gold standard of jigsaw blades will always be the double-wide tapered CUnex W1 which guarantees perfectly square cuts.

There are two versions of the PS 2-18 to choose from.  The “PURE” version is available for users who already have the compatible Mafell/Metabo Batteries and Charger, whereas the Complete PS 2-18 comes with two Mafell LiHD 72 watt-hour batteries and the 120 V charger.
